SUMMER SOCIAL 2026
What is the Summer Social 2026?
The event is a camping weekend with friends in the Peak District. The sort of thing that anyone could arrange to ride the roads and trails and to exchange stories over some food and drink. This may sound like an unusual approach for an event. After all, anyone could do this?

Sometimes it's not that easy; Even amongst the group from 2025, trying to find another weekend to meet up to do something we all love, such as ride and camp has proved a challenge, so perhaps planning ahead for particular weekend does have a place among the busy summer festival season?
The Summer Social 2026 will take place from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th July 2026 at a new venue near Bakewell in the Peak District. Hopefully you are here, because someone might have said you'd like to come and join us, with others from the trail and adventure motorcycle community. If you didn't, please ignore this with my apologies!
How did it start?
In July 2025, a few friends had a weekend free and decided to meet at the Peak Motorcycles HQ for a weekend of food, drink, conversation and riding motorcycles on the roads and the trails of the Peak District. They had a few other friends, who had a few more and by the time the weekend arrived we numbered more than thirty and almost ran out of space!
We had a fabulous time, and after some consideration, decided that we could do it again, but perhaps the friends of friends, also have friends who might also like to come along. This is the result.

How much it is?
The cost of attending the event is £99 per person.
This includes:
- 3 nights camping (Vans, and cars with trailers welcome)
- Toilets
- Hot Showers
- Daily breakfast including a roll with a fried egg and sausage or bacon, tea, coffee and orange juice
- A reasonably priced bar (but not free drinks I'm afraid!) open until 1am each night
- Thursday Night: Recorded music
- Friday Night: Live band followed by recorded music
- Saturday Night: The Adventure Motorcycle Film Festival Showcase presented by Simon from the Reel Riders Podcast followed by the TAMPodcast and Friends
- Nightly fire pit (subject to wind and fire advisories)
To sign up, please complete this form.
What else?
Drinking water will be available as there is a mains supply to the site.
Power for the event will be by generator.
Unfortunately hook-ups for vans and charging of devices will not be available, so please bring power packs or make arrangements to charge your devices on your bike or in your van or car.
There will be food vendors, the final number to be confirmed and also dependent on how many people we are.
Pre-Pitched ADVenture Lavuu
If you'd like to come but don't have a tent or are travelling light, ADV Products will have some of their ADVenture Lavuu motorcycle tents available as a pre-pitched option. These are single pole tents, similar to a Tipi weighing just 3kg with a pack size of 35x25x25cm, but having a 2.2x1.6m sleeping area. With an extra pole and the tarp, they can also provide some shelter for your bike, either protecting electronics from bright sunshine or keeping things dry for that campsite repair that can't wait. Bring a camping mat and your sleeping bag and you're good to go.
If you decide you'd like to buy one after testing a pre-pitched one at the Summer Social, you can have one shipped to your home with £50 of your pre-pitched tent fee refunded.
If you want to take it home with you, you will save £75 off the retail price or £50 off if purchased at a later date. You' can find out more about the ADVenture Lavuu here:
Merch
We are working on some merch, a Summer Social Hawaiian Shirt, a Summer Social MX jersey, and also some Summer Social reusable cups. Details on these to follow.
Sharing
If you are coming and have a particular experience or skill that you would like to share, be that a tale or a film of a recent trip, how to get your drone to follow you on the bike, how to change a tyre on a trail, or anything else that you'd be interested in sharing, please add it below and we can work something out.
Shelter
We will also have one or more tents with tables and bench seating to ensure that if the weather is against us, we can stay dry, and it it's too hot that there is some comfort in the shade!

The weekend is not a commercial event. Neither the organisers nor the volunteers are paid for their time for planning and running the weekend. Some items to support the event may be purchased rather than hired and used in the future to allow the event to grow without having to increase the cost.
I'd like to come along. How can I book a place?
Ticketing services have been looked at, but for the first year and with associated costs of 10% or more, it was decided that having more budget for facilities and a lower ticket price was worth the additional administration time and effort for doing it manually.
To sign up, please complete this form.
On submission you will receive an invoice for the £99 plus any selected options. Unfortunately this isn't an automated process for this year so expect a time delay of up to a week.
On payment of that invoice, your place at the Summer Social 2026 will be confirmed by email. Please note that tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred to others. If you do need to transfer your ticket, please let us know who they are.
You can return to this form at any time if your information changes to make updates using the same email address that you used in the first question.
We hope to see you there!
